WE LAYER MATERIALS AND MUCH MORE
Seating
Our textiles for automotive seating integrate proprietary fiber blends, composite layers, and tunable noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) performance—enabling durable, attractive seating designs that are up to 30% lighter than traditional materials.
Flooring and Mats
TUF PET Nonwoven redefines vehicle flooring with lightweight durability, superior acoustics, and slip resistance. A 30% lighter alternative to tufted nylon, it offers abrasion resistance, cleanability, and effortless moldability—plus, up to 83% recycled content.
Underbody Shields
This nonwoven shield is 35% lighter than traditional materials, reducing vehicle weight without compromising performance. It maintains its shape for the life of the vehicle, resists damage, prevents snapping at high speeds, meets OEM flame resistance standards, enhances acoustics for a quieter ride, and incorporates 60% recycled polyester to reduce environmental impact.
Wheel Wells
Milliken’s nonwoven system for automotive wheel wells delivers lightweight durability, superior acoustics, and enhanced protection. Designed to reduce moisture absorption and prevent ice attachment, it minimizes road noise while shielding against rock impact and extreme temperatures—all with up to 65% recycled content.
Tegris®
Our Tegris® Thermoplastic Composite fabric is built for heavy-duty, high-risk environments. It offers exceptional protection against fragments, projectiles, and blasts while weighing less than traditional thermoplastics and composites. Used in military gear and protective equipment, Tegris® can be pressed into panels or compression molded into shape to withstand rocks, shrapnel, baggage handlers, and more.
3-Layer Turnout Gear System for Firefighters
Our turnout gear system delivers all three layers of PFAS-free* fabric: outer shell, moisture barrier, and thermal liner—from a single U.S.-based source. Milliken Horizon™, Milliken Assure™, and Milliken Equinox™ work together to provide strength retention, flame resistance, moisture management, and comfort—exceeding NFPA 1971-2018 standards without the use of PFAS or halogenated chemistries.
