An innovation born out of the COVID-19 pandemic with wide-ranging benefits in infection control for floorcoverings, MGUARD+ is an Australian first antivirus treatment on carpet tiles.

MGUARD+ provides an additional layer of infection control that encompasses both antiviral efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 and antibacterial efficacy against E. coli, S. aureus and K. pneumoniae. MGUARD+ is a scientifically developed topical treatment applied to Milliken’s PrintWorks™ carpet tiles at our Sydney manufacturing facility. The treatment is proven to kill 99% of SARS-CoV-2 viruses within 2 hours of contact with Milliken PrintWorks™ carpet tiles as per ISO 18184 (2019) testing protocols and S. aureus, E. coli, K. pneumoniae bacteria and prevent the growth of A. brasiliensis fungus as per AATCC 174 (2016) – Part 2&3, 24-hour testing protocols.
